The traditional Knauf AMF company meeting and Christmas celebration took place again this year in the AMF Forum in Grafenau. CEO Karl Wenig looked back positively on the past financial year and honoured 18 graduates from training and further education as well as 37 employees.
Over 240 Knauf AMF employees accepted the invitation from the Works Council and Management to the annual company meeting and Christmas party. In his review of the year, CEO Karl Wenig emphasised that despite the increasingly difficult economic environment, Knauf AMF could again draw a positive conclusion this year. "Our development towards a complete ceiling system solutions provider in all materials was important and is responsible for the fact that we have experienced above average growth for years," said Wenig.
The company turnover of the Knauf AMF Group has almost doubled since 2010 and the position in the world markets was further expanded in 2019. Knauf AMF will consistently continue along this path in 2020 and plans to continue on its growth course in the coming year.
Such a balance sheet is only possible with the three basic principles of the company: production, product and personnel. Karl Wenig: “The most modern products cannot work without cost-optimised production. The best production needs products in line with the market. And if there are no competent staff available, a company cannot develop successfully.”
With global competition, Knauf AMF has to face constantly increasing requirements. “Investments in innovation and new technologies are therefore a basic requirement. Considerable funds are invested in this every year”, said Karl Wenig.
Targeted measures to optimise the company's product portfolio and the associated change, from being a mineral ceiling provider to a provider of ceiling system solutions, are being consistently implemented. “This new offer has been extremely well received and valued by our customers. This was shown recently by the Architect's Darling Award in gold, which we have received for the second consecutive time. With our 350 sales employees worldwide, we stand for customer focus and market competence” emphasised the Knauf AMF CEO.
The continued success of the company would not be possible without the individual skills and abilities of all employees who actively help shape the development process. "A visible sign of the employees' loyalty to the company is the high number of long-term employees who have contributed to the Knauf AMF success story. During our company meeting and Christmas party, 37 employees who have been with us for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years were honoured” emphasised Karl Wenig. Opportunities for professional training and further education are also seized every year. In 2019, 18 graduates were awarded in training and further education.
