The perfect ceiling installation

Video tutorials for Knauf AMF ceiling systems

Installation video exposed system- System C

The System C is the most common ceiling construction.

This is because System C is quick and easy to install and as a result provides a very economical solution. This system uses an exposed 15mm or 24mm grid system. Both square edge (SK), recessed edge (VT) tiles, and (SF) downwardly demountable tiles can be installed in this system. Each ceiling tile is individually removable providing access to any services in the ceiling void. The full range of AMF ceiling tiles are available to fit into a System C. It is also simple to integrate standard elements such as lights, speakers, heating and ventilation. All of the technical information in this publication is based on labortory test results.

Installation Video Exposed System with Shadow Gap (SF) 600x600

Exposed system C is Knauf AMF's most popular ceiling system. For the THERMATEX SF Acoustic variant, sound absorbing ceiling tiles are lay in a grid system which is only slightly visible from below thanks to a shadow gap. Every ceiling tile can be removed for subsequent installation work.

The Knauf AMF ceiling system THERMATEX SF Acoustic combines particularly elegant design with excellent acoustic performance.
Naturally, various lights can be integrated into the ceiling.

Installation video free span system- System F

System F, being a self-supporting system with a span of up to 2.50 m, is an ideal solution for corridors. Both sides of the tiles rest on perimeter trims, which gives the ceiling a smooth and homogeneous appearance with subtle joints. System F is a fast and efficient solution both for installation and maintenance work as the system can span up to 2.50 m without support from the soffit and still be fully demountable.

Installation video concealed system- System A

System A has a smooth, monolithic appearance created by concealed construction profiles. The ceiling tiles are available as demountable or non-accessible for the construction variants. Depending on individual requirements, the ceiling void can be retrospectively accessible or non-accessible.

Installation video bandraster system- System I

By using Bandraster grid System I offers parallel suspension sections that can be adapted to the architecture of the building. Lightweight partitions can be installed under the Bandraster sections. Lateral bracing is achieved with either exposed or concealed sections. Ceiling planks can be made either demountable or non-accessible.

Installation Video Ceiling Raft- TOPIQ® Sonic element

The frameless and jointless ceiling raft, TOPIQ® Sonic element , featuring the AMF TOPIQ® Strong Edge Technology, also benefits from fully colour coated face and reverse laminate fleece. The monolithic ceiling raft design has excellent sound absorption properties and when installed gives the appearance of a free floating simple form.

With circular and rectangular ceiling rafts, it can be a challenge to correctly position the spiral anchors on the ceiling raft for the hangers. The supplied template for the suspension points of TOPIQ Sonic element ceiling rafts from Knauf AMF offers safe and simple help with this task.

The flexible ceiling raft system THERMATEX® Sonic sky offers architects and designers a high degree of creative freedom through its wide range of colours and forms.

The rafts consist of a self-supporting frame fixed to the ceiling with an adjustable suspension system and combined with THERMATEX® ceiling tiles . THERMATEX® Alpha and THERMATEX® Alpha HD with their high quality fleece-coated surfaces and available in a variety of colours are particularly suitable for use. Discreet, almost invisible stainless steel cable suspension conveys the impression of weightlessness and elegance.

Particularly elegant designs can be created using a varying arrangement of THERMATEX® Sonic arc concave and convex elements. The use of different colours enables interesting contrast effects. There are no limits to the architect‘s or designer’s imagination in creating ever new spatial effects.

Installation Video Celing Raft- HERADESIGN® Sonic

HERADESIGN® ceiling rafts have been designed especially for large rooms with individual communication islands. They provide individual optimisation of acoustics, which considerably improves speech intelligibility and concentration. However, ceiling rafts are more than simply acoustic solutions: the unique wood wool appearance of the surface texture also makes visually appealing and unusual design options possible.

Installation video wall absorber- HERADESIGN®

The HERADESIGN® wall absorber is an acoustically effective wall panel made of magnesite-bonded Wood Wool panels bonded to an acoustic lining (50 mm or 100 mm). The element is delivered in one piece, ready for installation, and can be quickly mounted onto a supporting vertical substrate in any position using the included wooden frame.

Installation Video Wall Absorber- THERMATEX® Line modern

THERMATEX® Line Modern consists of a mineral tile with an aluminium frame. The fleece-coated surface of THERMATEX® Line Modern is white as standard but can be ordered in all colours and printed with a motif. The wall panel is delivered in one piece ready to install and can be quickly and simply installed using eccentric screws and the installation key included in the delivery. Together with the underlying acoustic filling, the mineral tile achieves excellent sound absorption values.
