2. Aligning the laths
Align the laths using a spirit level or laser level and fix the laths to the hangers, e.g. quick hangers, using 2 screws per side.
3. Install the main laths and supports
Install the main laths and cross supports. Maximum centres according to the “Maximum centres of grid structure” table for screw-fixing onto wooden laths and the main laths/cross laths connection detail, page 14.
4. Install the acoustic tiles
Install the acoustic tiles with the aid of a support. When fixing, press the tile onto the lath using the heel of your hand. There must be no gap between the tile and the wooden lath. For large ceiling areas, begin tile installation from the centre of the room. Observe the installation direction of square tiles!
7. Placing HERADESIGN® acoustic over-lays
Insert HERADESIGN® acoustic over-lays or other acoustic over-lays, step-by-step when installing the HERADESIGN® acoustic tiles. Absorber tiles that are pushed between the wooden laths are cut to size.
8. Painting the screw heads
If coloured screws are not used, paint over the screw heads with the paint supplied or a suitable equivalent using a fine brush and suitable amount of paint. Screw heads must be flush with the tile surface.
